HTHT is about a trio of magical girls defending the world from interdimensional invaders.
It has concluded.
If you like HTHT, you might like Elcenia, my fantasy series.

Eegamal is the language spoken by magicians ("eega" means "magician" and "mal" means "tongue"). Most civilian Datékali have a working knowledge of Eegamal (it helps to understand what one's rulers are ordering one to do if one wishes to live a full and healthy life), but they speak other languages according to regional variation amongst themselves.

Before pagets were enslaved, they had many languages and a considerably larger population than they have today. Toda is the only paget language that has survived, and even it is spoken by just under half the paget population - pagets tend not to be permitted to form communities with each other that would let them pass on languages freely, and only by virtue of their flawless memories and the fact that infant pagets can't safely be taken from their mothers has Toda survived. The paget facility with languages means that most of them speak at least two; one is usually Eegamal.
